A shared sense of humour is the glue that holds marriages together................it is a key predictor to the fact that couples will stay together or not............affectionate humour makes us more calmer and more responsive to our partners in anxious times.The upshot : we like them more because they make us feel better. Laughter is as intimate as you can get without touching someone.The only viable reason to be in a long term relationship is to have someone to laugh with.
