Consumerism and its effect on Happiness
According to Harold James,(Professor of History and International Affairs at Princeton University)'The Empirical study of Happiness has produced evidence that the satisfaction from buying objects is short lived and depends on continued repetition. That is socially, morally and environmentally wasteful. On the other hand the consumption of experiences(rather than objects) produces a more sustained satisfaction. The new service economy emphasizes human interaction more than individualistic consumption.'
We cant deny the fact that in this modern world we,the Humans are becoming more Materialistic?More Greedy???We believe in the false notion that Materialism and Consumerism has a soothing effect on fulfilling all our desires and the enjoyment of pleasures are all that is required to make us happy and contended. The recent past has given us innumerable examples of how this monster called Greed can be devastating for all ouf us.It is only quite natural that this insatiable desire for Materialism has created a society which is very weak morally and completely bankrupt on values and ethics.Good old charm of Simplicity,Minimalism,Humility and Candor has taken a back seat. This never ending game of One-Upmanship has taken us nowhere. Our quest for Superficial Happiness has left a big vacuum in all of us.A sense of Equanimity has totally vanished from our psyche.Man has indeed become a Ravenous Beast.
Moral and Spiritual satisfaction can fill our lives with Happiness that is more enduring... more eternal, than the ephemeral and fleeting world of consumerism and instant gratification.

Human Behaviour and its Effect on Human Relationship
Female species are extremely territorial. They gaurd their territory fiercely. They are strongly binded by their habits and they would not take kindly to someone invading their space and questioning their way of functioning, no matter how logical it may seem.Hence,Space is quintessential for the female species.
The onus is on the Male species,to make space available for the both the parties(ie Mother and Wife)concerned. The guy after tying the nuptial knot must master the art of balancing, and here in lies his greatest test. There are many ways to attain this, each being subjective in its own way.
If possible the guy should live independently and not at his parent's place. Its not as if, this is an only option, but if circumstances permit, its worth a try. This does not suggest washing off your parent's responsibilties and living in an insular environment. But,its a rather practical approach. The guy would be giving himself a great opportunity for a relationship to succeed. Its not an easy proposition but its certainly worth a try.In this way,He would be in a better position to give care and love to both his mother and his wife in an equitable and a just manner.
A son's love for his mother his permanent. At the same time, the wife also has her own aspirations and desires, which must be given equal weightage. The key here is an open and a logical mind. The guy should create avenues for the two parties concerned to co exist in a healthy and a peaceful manner.Still the task for the guy is extremely tough.
My second observation might not go down well with many of my female friends. But its just my observation,i might be wrong, and there are exceptions always.
Never ask a female colleague for her opinion on another female colleague, regarding practically anything. If my observation stands correct, very few would give the right answers. They have an uncanny knack of noticing strange things which otherwise a guy would not even dream of.They can completely disbalance the mental faculty of a guy. They may have our best interests but they may not give their best views. Its an arduous task to fathom their real motive.Guys take opinions, but make a decision based solely on your logical thinking.
Human Behaviour is such a vast field. My observations are just a drop in the ocean. Its just my way of looking at things.Comments whether good or bad are most welcome.

Beauty......
But some universal truth about Beauty do seem to hold true since time immemorial...
Beauty of a realtionship between a mother and a child. For the young child his/her world revolves around the Beauty of his/her mother. For the child, the beautiful mother is nothing but irreplacable.Unconditional love and warmth which both the mother and the child shares' is nothing short of pure heavenly Beauty....
A Beautiful face, which stands apart in the crowd, that exults your mind to a state of utopia, aptly exemplifies the word Beauty. The mere mortals tend to get weak in the knees, experiencing this facet of Beauty....
Beauty of mother nature is pure bliss.A beautiful sunset seen from the beach, when the ubiquitous sun descends among the waves..........and how about the sunrise, the everglowing sun ushering in life and light to humanity is an act of Beauty worth capturing.......
First drops of rain pacifying the parched soul and the land also portrays Beauty brilliantly..Beautiful sense of tranquility prevails all over.......
Acts of humanity which transcends all barriers and boundaries, gives the word Beauty a whole new perspective...A blind man being given a helping hand, feeding of the needy and the desperate, being compassionate, loving and understanding not only to fellow human beings but also to animals are all acts of Beauty. This form of Beauty takes us a step closer to the All-Mighty,and it helps us recognise our own Beautiful selves...
Beauty is ageless,timeless and formless.....
